Up for sale is this gorgeous lidded box/dish, in the Norman shape, from Royal Winton/Grimwades in their Sweet Nancy chintz pattern, dated between 1930-34. Both the lid and dish are in excellent condition as detailed below: The dish measures 6 3/4" by 6", stands 1 1/2" high and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or stains and minor crazing commensurate with its age. Ther is some minor wear to the gilt trim where the lid sits, as can be seen in the photos. The lid measures 5 1/2" in diameter and is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks and only very minor crazing commensurate with its age. There is no wear to the gilt trim. There are 3 specks of kiln grit to the underside of the lid which have slightly discoloured, as shown in the photos.
